Bright Nursing's Anti‑Ragging Policy

Introduction

The institution maintains an uncompromising zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of ragging, both within and outside of the campus premises. Ragging is a recognized offense and is strictly prohibited. Any violation will attract stringent disciplinary action as per Institutional Rules & Regulations.

What Constitutes as Ragging?

Ragging includes, but is not limited to any act, conduct, and behaviour that causes physical, psychological, sexual or emotional harm, discomfort, ot fear to a student. This applies within or outside campus premises, including hostels, places of clinical and community training and online platforms.

  • Acts of Violence and use of force against any students or any teachers and staff members.
  • Instigation & Criminal Collusion: Direct or indirect involvement in promoting, planning or assisting in ragging in any manner whatsoever.
  • Public Nuisance casuing disruption of academic activities, public order and institutional decorum.
  • Unlawful Assembly & Rioting: Any form of collective or organized involvement in ragging or misconduct.
  • Forcing and consumption of any kinds of alcohol or substance.
  • Sexually explicit comments and gestures.
  • Inappropiate Physical contact and advances.
  • Online harrasment via social media or messaging platforms.

Penalties and Punishments for Ragging

  • Suspension for a specified period, or in severe cases, rustication from the Institution.
  • Witholding of scholarships, results and other benefits.
  • Prohibition from Examinations and Evaluation.
  • Fines ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹1,00,000.
  • In severe cases the offence may lead upto imprisonment upto 3 years.

These skills will not only help you in your career but also works towards making you into a overall complete individual. In order to maintain a repectful and enriching learning experience, students must adhere by to these following guidelines:

  • Scholastic Integrity and Professional Discipline
    Students are expected to maintain high academic standards and consistently uphold ethical values.
  • Prohibition of Misconduct
    Any form of harassment, indiscipline or inappropiate behaviour will lead to strict action, including suspension or expulsion where warranted.
  • Green Campus & Environmental Responsibility
    Students are to use the designated waste disposal facilities and refrain from littering to actively contribute towards maintaining a clean and hygeinic campus.
  • Respect College Property
    All infrastrcuture, equipment, books and facilities must be handled with utmost care. Damage to isntutional property will result in appropiate disciplinary measures.
  • Regulated Use of Electronic Devices
    Unauthorized use of mobile phones or electronic devices within the campus premises is strictly prohibited.

Student's Responsibilities

  • Always show proper respect to National Anthem and to peers , teachers and staff members.
  • Always show kindness to fellow colleagues and treat every patient with utmost empathy, dedication and patience.
  • Be puntual and attentive to every lecture, practical training, and clinical postings.
  • Maintain Proper conduct to maintain public order and institutional decorum.
  • Professional Dress Code to be adhered by:

    - Wear the prescribed uniform and white apron along with their Identity Card.

    - Follow a decent and professional dress code in campus.
  • The prescribed uniform assigned by the institution is to be followed at all times, both on campus and while on community training and clinical postings.
  • Mobile phone usage is strictly prohibited during lectures and only allowed on emergency situations.
  • Students must maintain cleanliness of their surroundings and practice proper waste disposal to keep the campus clean & green .
  • Conserve energy by switching off light, fans and electronic appliances while not in use.
  • All Institutional property is to be handled with proper care.
  • Students must strictly follow all hospital and clinical regulations and uphold professionalism of highest standards.
